Jan 1st “Quote of the Day”

Quote Jan 1 text

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you

didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

– Mark Twain

I know it can be a hard thing to do, and I’m not always the best example, but Mark Twain has some valuable words going on here. It’s better to go for it and do things than not. We don’t get time back. Once it passes, it passes. Take the time to live your life and spend quality time with family and friends.  These are words I’m trying to live by

I’ve spent the past two years working ALOT… I’m a single parent who receives little to no support (financially or otherwise), from my Ex. I’ve gone back to school to upgrade my skills, but have had to hold a full time job at the same time.  I’ve felt a lot of guilt that I’ve had to sacrifice time with my children these past 2 years so that they can be well provided for. This year, I’m striving to work a little less and spend more time with them because my time with them will pass by quickly and before I know it they will be grown up. I don’t want to live with that regret. I want to “Explore, Dream, and Discover” with them, creating memories that will last us our lifetime.
